Suitable for Ages 5months-12months
North Seaton Colliery Community Centre, NE63 0XQ, North Seaton, Ashington
Saturday 27th November at 12 noon, for 4 weeks
At 5 months old puppies are entering the juvenile stage of development. Getting their focus and attention can be difficult and a perfect recall is easily forgotten when something more exciting is happening.
This class will teach you techniques to bring the focus back to you, help you understand your adolescent companion better, and give you ways to improve behaviours you may be experiencing, such as hyper-activity, chewing, digging, lack of focus, unable to ignore distractions, not recalling, pulling on the lead, reactivity to dogs or barking excessively
Each week we have a different theme
- Week 1. The Basic life skills
- Week 2. Attention & Focus
- Week 3. Lead Walking & Recall
- Week 4. Enrichment & Behaviour
This is NOT a puppy socialisation class, and all puppies are on-lead as some dogs attending may be reactive to dogs. Calming activities are included in class to help dogs relax. Classes are small with a maximum of 4 dogs. 6 in our larger venues.
This venue has a large private field attached for use during the class. This gives us plenty of extra space if your dog is struggling indoors.
If you wish to meet other attendees before class the field will be available for 1 hour before class, there is ample parking and the field is large enough to keep away from the other dogs in the class if your dog is reactive
Having small classes allows me focus more on your puppy, and any behaviour issues you may be having, Exercises can then be easily adapted to suit you specifically
Classes are fun and only reward-based training is used
