About me

About me

After studying small animal care, I worked in veterinary practice for several years, and in 1999 I qualified as a veterinary nurse and went on to gain my Level 4 Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training from the Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE) Accredited by Ofqual. I began working as a full time Behaviourist and studied to become a puppy school Uk tutor.
I have always had an interest in animal behaviour and training and my own animals have all been rescues (RSPCA or Romanian) who often arrive with complicted behavioural issues

During my career as a Veterinary Nurse, I encountered behaviour issues most days and often families on a low income were unable to access behavioural help or support. I set up Holistic Pet Behaviour with the aim of providing affordable options for everyone. We have free information sheets available to help with common problems and we are always happy to offer advice for free. Each year we offer 2 free behavioural clinic appointments to 4 families in hardship

I am a Pet Industry Federation member
International Companion Animal Network (ICAN) Certified Trainer & Behaviourist

As a Certified ICAN Trainer & Behaviourist, behavioural services can often be claimed through your insurance policy

I will only use force free methods which reward your pet for the correct behaviour. These methods are more effective in building confidence for your pet and building a bond of trust.

I offer behaviour modification plans for Cats, Dogs, and Other small animals, 1-2-1 training sessions, puppy classes, adolescent classes and Well-being classes for dogs of all ages. These include: Cognitive Skills Classes, Free-Work classes, Enrichment & Behaviour Classes, Activity Classed and Loose Lead Walking or Recall workshops

I run a regular K9 behaviour clinic on a Saturday in North Seaton, Ashington
